PRODUCTION MANAGER
Following a vacancy created from internal promotion, PlusLife is seeking a talented individual in the role of Production Manager. In this role you will lead a team of Production Technicians to deliver the highest quality Australian bone and tissue service recognised as Australia’s premier musculoskeletal tissue bank. Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of Production Technicians in the receipt and retrieval of bone and tissue, processing and distribution for human bone and tissue services on a day-to-day basis.
- Identify candidates to act as Production trainees; oversee Production trainees involved in technical training of Production staff.
- Oversee the Production team to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are embedded in all Production related processes and acting as a resource for staff.
- Develop, implement, review, and update protocols and documentation for
donor review, retrieval, release criteria, processing, and distribution of graft
material in collaboration with divisional manager as part of continual
improvements. - Monitor and report on production performance and setting direction for
production process and schedule. - Act as production lead in TGA external audits; coordinate responses on behalf of Production.
- Participate in Quality management direction setting for the service.
- Ensure regulatory, quality and safety systems are adhered to, and improved over time to comply with Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) Australian Code of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), for human blood and blood components, human tissues and human cellular therapy products and the relevant Therapeutic Goods Orders (TGOs), maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) accordingly.
- Ensuring provision of a safe working environment in accordance with relevant Health, Safety and Equal Opportunity Legislation.
- Facilitating development of a continuous improvement culture and taking an active role in projects, and improvement activities as required.
